VERDUGO KNOLLS- OUR FIRST FLIP

I'm working on adding a "past projects" section to the website. So far... one down!

Check out this  MCM remodel we did back in 2015.  I don't know where the years went. Elke was just 2. We fell in love hard with this house. This was the most magical house with the most magical yard. We really considered keeping it but in the end we sold it. It was our first and only true flip.

The backstory on this one...

We are more of the buy and hold, multi-family investor type, meaning the rehabs we do, we keep and rent out. But this was so fun because it wasn't that. it was purely for the love of re-designing it. I had my eye on this one for weeks, It just did no let me go. I was told basically to keep it in my pants. Ha. Craig did not want me going after a flip. Like I said, we were buy and holders. He happened to go out of town on a TV gig for a few weeks and in that time I managed to get it into escrow pending his signature. There was a cute and slightly nervous phone call to him on set in Florida where I informed him I may or may not be in the process of making an offer on a house. Luckily he found this funny. He came home, toured it and saw what I saw and we jumped in on it. And it was fun.

I felt really grateful because he basically let me spend a lot of money up front for fun, to satisfy what has grown to be passion for me. We knew we would make a profit on the back end and we had done plenty of remodels before...  but it was a very aware moment when I realized what he let me do.

This neighborhood, Verdugo Woodlands in Northern Glendale, I have mentioned before. I mention it because I fell in love with the trees in this particular section of Los Angeles. The Oaks. They were really amazing trees. It doesn't feel like LA and yet it was still only 15 minutes from Downtown. Ahhh. The memories.

Just for fun. Sharing. Check it out. I still love it!!
