THIS ONE IS FOR ME

481 Starlight Crest Drive. La Canada Flintridge. 3469 sq ft. 4 bedroom/ 2.75 bath. 1.95M$

Except I can't buy this. We aren't in the market for a place right now. BUT! if we were I'd be jumping through hoops to try for this one and here's why.

#1 Reason: SCHOOLS.

We are at the time in our lives when we are filling out intense applications, writing long narratives describing our daughter and how amazing she is, taking her to private assessments and personal interviews. We are interviewed. We will soon find out which school she gets into for KINDERGARTEN. And at that time, we will commit to a long career of paying for that choice.

Private school is expensive. We have one child. We are making the choice to choose this path. BUT What if we have two kids? ... then it doubles. Basically, if we have two kids then those tuitions basically pay for this house.

AND this house is in a school district where the public school environment rivals that of many private schools. 

#2 Reason: PRICE

These days, homes in these school districts don't go for much less than 2M. That this one is under that price and has a pool and view, and what I assume must be some interior style, (even if it requires a remodel to discover it) gets me excited.

#3 Reason: THIS IS A PRETTY SWEET LOOKING HOUSE.

Like I said. Pool. View. Oaks. View. Wrap around deck, looks like open beam ceilings. A MCM Ranch with what I would guess is GOOD BONES. There are no inside photos... But i usually have a good feel for this kind of thing. I would venture to bet it has them. Good bones.
